While most people think of moths as "dull" or "boring to look at", there is actually a huge number of moth species that exhibit striking, vibrant coloration and intricate patterns. Even Arizona has a number of colorful moths, including the iconic white-lined sphinx moth (Hyles lineata) and the big and bold typhon sphinx (Eumorpha typhon).
